See National ADDY Winning Work from San Diego Students

The 2016 American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) was held Tuesday. The competition receives more than 10,000 student entries and the work has to go through three levels of judging. 69 students from across the nation took home awards.

Three students, Ryan RenquistBrooke Lingenfelder, and Rodney Manabat, from San Diego Portfolio Studio, received Silver awards. Here's a look at their beautiful projects:

Rodney Manabat created Brass Monkey - A responsive website and brand:

I decided to expand on a fictional alcoholic beverage brand that I had previously created and was inspired by the drink created by mixing a bottle of 40 OZ malt liquor and orange juice. The name of the brand is Brass Monkey.
The Brass Monkey Experience on the website consists of a series of “underground events” held in major cities across the country.

Brooke Lingenfelder built an integrated campaign for Converse and their upcoming 100 year anniversary:

Converse is an iconic brand with a timeless, classic style. I wanted to design a campaign that would pay homage to the longevity of the brand and capture the culture of it.
A pair of Chuck Taylors over a telephone wire is a sight seen in every urban community, and I thought there was a solid idea there.

A unique shoebox would be fun to display in-store, to carry, and to keep in a bedroom (much more than just a box to throw out or stash away in the back of a closet).

Ryan Renquist redesigned the Mac makeup site from UX through prototyping including commerce pages and interactive features.

I concentrated on enhancing the beauty of the brand while making the site functional. It allowed me to stretch my creative muscles with type, color, and imagery.
