I’m just going to say it: there’s something about networking events that makes my palms sweat. For me, it feels a bit like being a cat; I am both curious and wary, excited and full of dread. One part of my brain thinks, “I’m a student. What can I possibly say? The other says, “Look! A chance to ask all those questions you have. Portfolio Studio is proud to be the first West Coast chapter of The One Club, an amazing non-profit group that promotes inventive advertising. As a boutique program, it is a privilege to participate in the One Club student chapters along with schools that include The School of Visual Arts (SVA), VCU, and the Savanna College of Art and Design.
San Diego Portfolio Studio students took part in this year’s One Club’s Creative Boot Camp. Held at LA advertising agency, 72andSunny, the 4-day immersive event was created to encourage more diversity in the field of advertising.
