One of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions is the annual One Show Young Ones Competition, a tradition dating back to 1986. This course focuses on creating work to enter for the competition. The One Club provides client briefs to follow for the course. Interactive, social media and digital strategy will be a part of this teams class where you will work on campaigns or design work for your portfolio.
In this course you’ll work on concept creation with company logos. The focus here is to create a logo that communicates what the company is about. New techniques will be shared in order to push your brainstorming abilities and help you understand what makes a great logo that is simple, symbolic, eye catching, memorable and smart.

In this course you will learn how to solve communication problems with smart, compelling copy. You’ll also learn how to develop essential copy strategies, work through a variety of creative exercises, and express a brand's human truth via the written word.
In this course you’ll execute concepts for interactive projects and expand traditional campaigns using social and emergent media. Research and analytics will guide your solutions. Plus, you’ll learn about the many facets of a digital strategist’s job.
Some of your best portfolio work will come from collaboration. In this teams class you join forces with a partner or small group on projects and campaigns. Here copywriters, art directors, designers and strategists come together to create work. There is a rigorous amount of work required in our teams classes and additional meeting time outside of class will be needed. Jessica Urgo, from MeringCarson, teaches this course at our Studio.
This course will teach you how to implement digital marketing concepts and theories by giving you hands on experience. After taking this course you will have the skills needed to manage and implement digital and social media campaigns for organizations. The course will cover how to manage brand pages, create cross-platform strategies, manage basic digital ad campaigns, and use analytics to monitor and optimize campaigns.

This core foundation class uses photography, illustration, and copywriting, to advance your creative vision and express the brand story. You’ll direct design, layout, composition, color, and typography for finished pieces. This course includes weekly training in Adobe Photoshop.
