This course will teach you how to implement digital marketing concepts and theories by giving you hands on experience. After taking this course you will have the skills needed to manage and implement digital and social media campaigns for organizations. The course will cover how to manage brand pages, create cross-platform strategies, manage basic digital ad campaigns, and use analytics to monitor and optimize campaigns.
Advanced approaches to sophisticated and innovative media marketing strategies and rollouts are presented here. You’ll develop the skills and knowledge that will enable you to articulate a long-term strategic vision in a variety of digital mediums. Big data, search engine optimization (SEO), emergent technologies, and digital delivery systems are addressed.

This session provides an overview of the course and a look at the assignments.
Session 2 Facebook
We start with a social giant: Facebook and we'll work on: - How to create a Facebook Page for a business - Content and design strategy around Facebook Page - Analysis of how different demographics use Facebook - Content strategy around posting content - Examine the Facebook Page Insights to understand trackable metrics - Strategy around how to get user engagement with brand.
Session 3: Twitter
This session we learn about Twitter and: - How to create a Twitter account - Strategy around create an username/handle for a business - Analysis of how consumers interact with brands on Twitter - Examine how to leverage and implement hashtags - Identify key KPIs to track - Content strategy around posting content
Session 4: Instagram/Snapchat
Online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking services are the focus this session and: -How to create business accounts -Demographic analysis -Best practice for content
Session 5: Facebook Ads
When you run a Facebook Ad, you choose the audiences that see it by location, age, interests and more. This session covers: - How to create ads and campaigns - How to identify and target demographics - Examine different ad strategies based on campaign objective - How to track the success of an ad and make improvements
Session 6: Website
We focus on websites this session and learn: - Basic concepts of optimizing websites for conversions - How to "fix the leaky faucet" -- drop on in the conversion flow - How social ties into website strategy and traffic - Leverage Google Analytics to track conversions and ROI
Session 7: Blogs
As a key communication tool we'll be looking at blogs and: - Understand the value of a blog - Look at content strategy around blogging (from a marketing and SEO perspective) - Look at different blogging platforms: Wordpress, Tumblr, Blogspot, etc.
Session 8: Social Media Management Tools
How do you effectively manage all of your social media. In this session we delve into: - Buffer - Hootsuite - Tweetdeck - Bit.ly - Sprout Social
Session 9: Wrap Up
Your final presentation and a wrap up of the course.
